NCES is authorized to conduct this study by the Education Sciences Reform Act of 2002 (ESRA 2002, 20 U.S.C. §9543).

Background: The 2023-24 National Postsecondary Student Aid Study (NPSAS:24) is a nationally representative study that collects data on how students and their families pay for postsecondary education.

Objective: We need participants for online focus group sessions to provide feedback about survey questions related to postsecondary education and employment experiences. By participating in this study, you will improve the NPSAS:24 survey so that it can be easily understood and answered by thousands of other college students across the country.

During the focus group session, you will be asked for your understanding and feedback about specific survey questions related to your postsecondary enrollment and employment experiences since July 1, 2020. Additionally, you will be asked to evaluate the difficulty of the questions, your confidence in your answers, and your understanding of the questions.

Details: The session will take approximately 90 minutes and can be scheduled at your convenience. The sessions will be conducted remotely via a video online conferencing program. All of the information provided by participants may be used only for statistical purposes and may not be disclosed, or used, in identifiable form for any other purpose except as required by law (20 U.S.C. §9573 and 6 U.S.C. §151).

If you qualify and participate in the focus group session, you will receive a $75 e-gift card from a major credit card company to thank you for your time and effort.

Device requirements: tablet, laptop, or desktop computer (not smartphone) with working webcam and microphone; and stable internet
