ABOUT THE SURVEY
Please take a few minutes to complete this survey about your job responsibilities and salary. Responses should reflect your job role and salary as of April 1, 2024. A PDF copy of the survey is available on the NALP website for review purposes, but all survey responses must be submitted via this web-based survey.
This survey has been distributed to all NALP U.S.-based employer members. You are encouraged to share the link to this survey on to other staff working in capacities related to lawyer personnel in U.S. offices to complete, regardless of whether the person is an individual member of NALP. A separate survey will be available later this spring for employers in Canada.
If your job does not involve any duties related to law student or lateral recruiting, lawyer professional development, lawyer personnel management, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, or alumni relations, this survey is not applicable to you.
If you need to go back to a previous page while working on the survey, use the 'Previous Page' button at the bottom of each page, NOT the back arrow in your browser. There is no need to click the 'Save' button unless you need to pause your work on the survey and return to it later. In this case click on the 'Save' button. This will save the answers you have entered so far and provide a link to complete the survey later. Be certain to make a note of this link so that you can use it later. It is not necessary to click on the 'Save' button to simply move through the survey.
Responses to certain questions are required to submit your survey. These are noted in red. You are, of course, encouraged to answer all applicable questions, as this will enable NALP to compile comprehensive findings on topics such as salaries.
Once you have submitted your survey you will automatically receive a report of your answers, which you can print or email for your records. If you want this report, print or email it before moving on. You will not be able to return to this report once you have closed the window.
Results of this survey will be made available free of charge to all NALP members in fall 2024. Prior year reports are available for access at: www.nalp.org/membersalarysurveys2.
As always, your survey submission is completely confidential. No information about you individually, your organization, or that could be attributed to you, or your organization will be published.
