2013 Elder Law Section MLTC Survey

Elder Law Section MLTC Survey

The Medicaid and Fair Hearing & Litigation committees of the Elder Law Section of the NYS Bar are collecting information about your experiences with MLTC in the mandatory and non-mandatory enrollment counties outside of New York City. We need your assistance. We are tracking data on:

  • The time-lag, if any, between your client’s notice of decision of Medicaid (acceptance) and start of services under MLTC, especially for new applications which seek home care and adult day care services; and
  • Notices B whether Plans are giving notice of the initial authorization so that a consumer can appeal inadequate hours or denial of certain services.

Please complete this survey each time one of your clients enrolls in a MLTC plan. The more information provided, the better the database will be. The data will be presented to the Section for further consideration and action.
